We opened in Riyadh in 2019 to work more closely with clients in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf. A few years later, ZATCA's e-invoicing rules arrived, and almost every business we spoke to had the same problem: their invoicing software couldn't keep up. That's how Hisaabii started. We launched it in 2022, and much of the Riyadh team's work now is helping businesses run it.
ZATCA e-invoicing
Hisaabii issues ZATCA-compliant tax invoices with QR codes and connects to ZATCA for Phase 1 and Phase 2, in Arabic and English. Around the invoices sits the rest of a small business's paperwork: clients, quotations, stock, expenses and VAT reporting.
If you're not sure what Phase 2 means for you, we've written a plain guide to ZATCA Phase 2.
For groceries, salons and shops
We built versions of Hisaabii for specific kinds of business:
- [Hisaabii Baqala](/products/hisaabii-baqala) for neighbourhood groceries: fast checkout, customer credit (the khata many baqalas still keep on paper) and ZATCA invoices.
- [Hisaabii POS](/products/hisaabii-pos) and [Hisaabii Salon](/products/hisaabii-salon) for retail counters and salons.
You can try each one from its page with a live demo, no sales call needed.
Arabic and English, properly
A lot of software "supports Arabic" by translating the words and leaving the layout as it is. Arabic reads right to left, so menus, tables, numbers and even icons need to flip, and invoices need to read naturally in both languages side by side. We build for that from the start, for websites and apps as well as our own products.
Beyond our products
The Riyadh team also takes on client projects for the Gulf: company websites, booking and service apps, and ERP work for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets. We've built for clients elsewhere in the region too, such as AirBliss Technical, an air-conditioning company in the UAE.
